AB Plastic Surgery Signs Partnership Agreement With Hallym University Dongtan Sacred Heart Hospital for Joint Treatment of Facial Nerve Paralysis Aftereffects
AB Plastic Surgery has signed a collaboration agreement with Hallym University Dongtan Sacred Heart Hospital to jointly treat patients suffering from aftereffects of facial nerve paralysis.
Dr. Bae In-Ho of AB Plastic Surgery stated:
“Plastic surgery holds a globally recognized position in facial reconstructive procedures. However, many patients experiencing facial asymmetry due to facial nerve paralysis often don’t know how to seek treatment and end up leaving the condition unaddressed.
For example, when lower eyelid paralysis causes the eyelid to roll outward after Bell’s palsy, we perform lower eyelid ectropion correction surgery.
We also use non-incisional ptosis correction to improve asymmetry in drooping or half-open eyelids.
Since Bell’s palsy patients often cannot fully close their eyes, we set an appropriate eyelid crease and perform non-incisional ptosis correction tailored to this condition.”
He added:
“I am pleased that our partnership with Hallym University Dongtan Sacred Heart Hospital—an institution with strong expertise in facial nerve paralysis—will allow us to provide a better medical environment for Bell’s palsy patients.
By combining both hospitals’ advanced techniques and infrastructure, we will continue working to ensure that patients referred by either institution receive optimal medical care.”
Through this collaboration, the two institutions expect to work closely in the following areas:
-
Improving aftereffects of facial paralysis
-
Enhancing patient convenience
-
Exchanging medical and hospital information
-
Providing medical technology consultation
The cooperation is anticipated to create a positive foundation for mutual development.
AB Plastic Surgery will continue to prioritize safety and strive to provide medical services that tolerate zero compromise, zero risk, for all domestic and international patients.
