AB Plastic Surgery Named IFAAS Facial Contouring Lecturer for 3 Consecutive Years
Academic Exchange with Surgeons and Medical Professionals Worldwide and Sharing of Facial Contouring Expertise
AB Plastic Surgery has been selected as an official lecture institution in the field of facial contouring for the IFAAS (International Fellowship in Advanced Aesthetic Science) program for three consecutive years from 2024 to 2026.
IFAAS is an international academic program where plastic surgery and aesthetic medicine professionals, along with leading academic experts from around the world, share the latest medical technologies and clinical experiences. The program is operated with the goal of promoting professional academic exchange and education among global medical professionals.
Through the IFAAS program, AB Plastic Surgery shared advanced surgical techniques and clinical expertise in facial contouring surgery based on extensive hands on surgical experience and real clinical cases with both domestic and international medical professionals. The program included various academic activities such as Live Surgery sessions, academic lectures, and real case analysis.
Successfully Hosted the 2026 IFAAS Facial Contouring Symposium
The “2026 IFAAS International Facial Contouring Symposium,” held in March 2026, was successfully conducted with the participation of plastic surgeons and medical professionals from Korea and abroad.
During the symposium, various research cases and surgical approaches aimed at improving both safety and surgical outcomes in facial contouring procedures were introduced. Clinical experiences and surgical expertise based on actual surgical cases were also shared.
In particular, Dr. Dong Pil Jo of AB Plastic Surgery participated as a keynote lecturer in the field of facial contouring surgery. He presented surgical methods and clinical experience covering a wide range of facial contouring procedures, including facial contouring fixation techniques, mandibular contouring surgery, zygoma reduction surgery, genioplasty, and facial balance line design.
In addition, Live Surgery sessions conducted in the actual operating room were presented to global medical professionals, openly sharing the entire process from preoperative analysis to the surgical procedure itself. Detailed surgical techniques and the clinic’s safety management system were also introduced during these sessions.
Academic Programs Focused on Safety and Improved Surgical Outcomes
AB Plastic Surgery continuously shares not only surgical experience but also safety focused facial contouring surgery research and medical system management experience based on real clinical data.
The following academic activities were conducted through the IFAAS program:
1. Facial Contouring Surgery Lectures
Lectures and Q&A sessions were conducted for domestic and international medical professionals regarding surgical techniques, surgical planning, fixation methods, and facial line design in facial contouring surgery.
2. Live Surgery Sessions
The entire process from preoperative analysis to the actual surgical procedure was openly shared through real surgical cases, introducing detailed surgical techniques and safety management systems.
3. Clinical Outcome Reviews Based on Real Cases
Postoperative progress, facial balance changes, and clinical outcomes were reviewed based on actual patient cases.
4. Global Academic Exchange
Global academic exchange activities were conducted with plastic surgeons from Korea and overseas through discussions on facial contouring surgery trends and research findings.
AB Plastic Surgery’s Safety Focused System
AB Plastic Surgery places strong emphasis on establishing a comprehensive safety system, which is considered one of the most important factors in facial contouring surgery.
Before surgery, comprehensive in house medical examinations are conducted, including blood tests, cardiac function tests, blood pressure tests, diabetes screening, and anemia screening to carefully evaluate each patient’s suitability for surgery based on their individual condition.
In addition, the clinic operates a 3D CT precision analysis system and personalized consultation system to provide more detailed surgical planning and analysis from the initial consultation stage.
During surgery, university hospital level safety equipment systems are utilized, including a central monitoring system, patient monitoring devices with end tidal carbon dioxide monitoring systems, uninterruptible power supply systems (UPS), cardiac defibrillators, and dantrolene preparation systems. Board certified anesthesiologists are also on site to monitor patient conditions in real time throughout surgery.
AB Plastic Surgery continues to strengthen its systematic safety management protocols based on its high ratio of board certified anesthesiologists to operating surgeons.
Continuous Research and Academic Activities for Global Patients
AB Plastic Surgery continues to research personalized facial contouring surgery that considers not only aesthetic improvement but also the harmony and balance of each patient’s unique facial structure.
Based on extensive clinical experience and continuous academic research, the clinic has established a surgical system that prioritizes both safety and surgical outcomes while pursuing a medical philosophy focused on recommending only necessary procedures rather than excessive treatment.
AB Plastic Surgery will continue its academic exchange with global medical professionals and further research on facial contouring surgery and surgical safety systems in the future.
