I would highly recommend AB clinic for anyone looking for procedures in Korea and would highly recommend them for anyone travelling for procedures in Korea.

From start to finish the communication has been great, especially with my translator Silla who was amazing every step of the way. They reply quickly, clearly and are very kind. The clinic is very foreigner friendly, and the staff that I dealt with speak perfect English.

The clinic itself is clean and modern, and centrally located in Gangnam. The clinic is very easy to find and is easy to get an uber / taxi too, as maps can be a little difficult for a foreigner in Korea. The clinic has a full pre-op centre and a pharmacy in the building too, so you can have everything in one place. There was never any queues or long waits for anything, and the services ran smoothly.

The consultation with the team and the doctor was good, I felt like I could ask anything and no question was too silly. I would highly recommend writing a list of questions and bringing photos to share with the doctor before your consultation so you don’t miss anything, as it is quite a lot of information to process!

I really liked how the team gave me the options and the choices in my care – they offered me different sedation types and customised it to suit me, rather than just telling me what to do.

As someone doing procedures in Korea for the first time I was extremely anxious and a little upset on the day. Being away from home and being in an unfamiliar environment was tough, but the team were so amazing and comforting. Everything went very well and Silla stuck by me the whole time.  One thing I would have liked would have been for them to share day by day recovery photos of people who had similar procedures as me so I could see what the timeline for my healing might have looked like, but I know this is very personalised to individuals and hard to predict. I would just tell everyone to trust the process and give it time, try and relax and don’t worry about what you look like when you leave as that is not your final result.

Post procedure care was great – I came back the day after and saw the team and the doctor again, and Silla went out of her way to translate all my medications to English so I knew exactly what I was getting. I also really liked that I could see other people at the recovery centre as it made me feel less alone and less crazy walking around with bandages on my face.

Overall I would highly recommend AB Plastic Surgery and I am already planning a return trip 😊
