• Q. What is the difference between Buried Suture Method, Non Incisional, and Natural Adhesion?

  Non Incisional double eyelid surgery, the Buried Suture Method, and Natural Adhesion can generally be considered the same surgical method. Natural Adhesion may also be viewed as a marketing term referring to a technique that creates natural adhesion without making an incision. Because of the word “natural,” patients may feel that the surgery will leave minimal scarring and create a more naturally defined appearance. The Buried Suture Method is often described as a “stitching” technique. Ultimately, these terms all refer to the same Non Incisional double eyelid surgery method. Even when Non Incisional surgery is possible, not every patient can undergo the procedure in the same way. If there is significant eyelid sagging or drooping that requires improvement, incisional methods may be more appropriate. In cases where the eyelids are suitable for Non Incisional surgery but partial fat removal is needed, a partial incision method may be recommended. Depending on the individual condition, the number of fixation points and the surgical technique may vary.
• Q. Does swelling from revision double eyelid surgery last longer than first time surgery?

  Revision Eye Surgery does not necessarily mean swelling will always take longer to subside. However, depending on whether the surgery is performed using the Buried Suture Method or an incisional method, along with individual skin condition and recovery speed, differences in swelling can certainly occur. After surgery, reducing spicy or stimulating foods and maintaining proper postoperative care such as light walking rather than prolonged lying down may help swelling subside more quickly.
• Q. When can I wear makeup after double eyelid surgery?

  1. Makeup after Buried Suture Method double eyelid surgery is generally possible about 3 days after surgery. There are many different types of Eye Surgery. Recovery and postoperative care may vary depending on the procedure, from Natural Adhesion and incisional methods to ptosis correction. For simpler Buried Suture Method procedures, since there are no stitches and recovery tends to be faster compared to surgeries involving incisions, light cleansing and makeup are generally possible earlier. 2. Makeup after incisional double eyelid surgery is generally possible about 7 days after surgery. Unlike the Buried Suture Method, procedures involving incisions require a longer recovery process. Depending on the surgical method and individual recovery, there may be differences, but for Buried Suture Method procedures combined with fat removal, light makeup is generally possible after around 5 days because minor swelling and wounds may remain after surgery. For Eye Surgery procedures such as lateral canthoplasty, lower canthoplasty, and epicanthoplasty, as well as upper blepharoplasty, lower blepharoplasty, and brow lift surgery, makeup is generally possible after around 7 days because these procedures are usually performed using incisional methods. For lower eyelid fat repositioning, stitches are generally removed approximately 3 to 7 days after surgery depending on recovery, after which light cleansing and basic skin makeup are usually possible.
• Q. Are there certain eye types that are more likely to result in unsuccessful double eyelid surgery?

  The eye shape and line preferences desired by patients considering double eyelid surgery or ptosis correction are extremely diverse. By carefully planning and performing the surgical method best suited to the individual eye structure, patients can achieve more satisfying and aesthetically balanced results. However, from a surgeon’s perspective, there may be cases where double eyelid surgery or ptosis correction is technically more challenging compared to other patients. Even in these situations, it is not necessarily considered a cause of surgical failure, but rather a case that requires more detailed planning and a more delicate surgical approach.
