Posture

1. When lying down, keep the surgical site higher than your heart.

Meal

1. After surgery, it is recommended to combine exercise and diet. It is recommended to avoid high-calorie foods and engage in appropriate exercise.

Swelling

1. The more areas inhaled, the greater the swelling may be, and depending on the area, bruising may last for 1 to 3 weeks. More than 70-80% of the swelling will disappear in about 3-4 weeks.
2. Major swelling will go down one month after surgery, and any remaining swelling will go down over 2 to 3 months. In order to compare objective effects, approximately 3 months must pass after surgery.

Wound Care

1. Light blood may ooze from the treatment area for 1-2 days after surgery. It's not bleeding, so don't be too surprised.

Wearing compression garments or bands

1. You should wear a facial band to prevent swelling.
2. The facial bandage must be worn for one week after surgery and must be worn continuously for two days. From the 3rd day onwards, it is recommended to wear it for 1 hour and then take it off and rest for 20 to 30 minutes. You do not need to wear it while sleeping or eating.
3. If you wear the band too tightly, it may interfere with blood circulation and cause hair loss and headaches. When wearing the band, please make sure it is not too tight.

Washing face, shower, makeup

1. Avoid letting water come into contact with the surgical area. You can also shower with waterproof tape attached.
2. Jawline taping should be kept in place for 7 days.

Work out

1. It is recommended to start light exercise after 2 weeks, and vigorous exercise after 1 month.

Taking medicine

1. Please take the medicine prescribed upon discharge regularly at the designated time. If symptoms such as diarrhea or hives occur after taking the medicine, stop taking it and contact the hospital.
2. There are painkillers in your prescription, but if you still feel a lot of pain after taking them, you can take additional Tylenol.
3. Avoid multivitamins (especially vitamin E) and nutritional supplements for 1 month after surgery as they may cause bleeding. It is recommended to avoid aspirin for 1 week unless absolutely necessary.
4. It is not recommended to take anti-swelling medication as it may cause bleeding.

Drinking and smoking

1. Drinking and smoking are prohibited for 1 month after surgery because they adversely affect bleeding, wound healing, and infection.

Lapse

1. The pulling and tightness of the skin after surgery is most severe in the first month due to the sternum inside the liposuction area and eases over the next 3 to 6 months. At this time, massage or management programs are helpful.

In Emergencies
