Surgeries: Facial Bone Contouring + Rhinoplasty
I did a lot of research online and read many shared experiences. In the end, I still chose to come to Korea, as I personally feel the aesthetics and level of experience here are much better.
The procedures I had were the contouring trio + rib cartilage rhinoplasty.
For contouring, I chose Dr Ahn. During the consultation, he gave a very professional and reliable impression, and discussed with me the most suitable treatment plan. I felt completely at ease entrusting the surgery to him.
For the nose, I chose Dr Ma. I had prepared a few reference photos, and it turned out that all of them were surgeries he had performed. Before surgery, he also provided a simulation of the expected result. From my consultation, both directors were very kind, though not overly talkative, which actually made the atmosphere more comfortable and stress-free.
¤ Before

After waking up in the recovery room, I didn’t really feel pain—just an extremely dry mouth and throat. The toughest part was the first night. I felt weak, didn’t even scroll on my phone, and couldn’t sleep at all. It was mentally exhausting, but I pushed through until discharge the next morning.
For the first seven days, I looked really puffy—like a puppy stung by a bee. I could barely open my mouth, so I only ate porridge and liquids. After one night at the hotel, my body felt much better on day two. I even went out shopping with friends; walking more really helped with the swelling.
Now at one month post-op, I basically avoid very hard or chewy foods. Everything else is fine, I just cut things into smaller pieces because I still can’t open my mouth very wide. I do daily mouth-opening exercises, like rehab. Otherwise, no problems—no facial numbness, and recovery has been pretty good.
