1.5 months post facial surgery with AB Plastic Surgery

Did rhinoplasty, fat graft, forehead reduction, brow bone reduction. Apologies for the variation in lighting and camera position. My chin looks different between the photos, but that is just the lighting and camera.

cost: 22 million won (21k CAD, 15.5k US ish) paid. I know at least 8 million KRW was discounted from the rhinoplasty and brow bone reduction. Some procedures were only discussed during the in-person consult, so I don’t know the exact total discount amount.

General Experience

flew in early January and had my in-person consult the day before surgery. This took around 4 hours in total, including tests, pictures, CT scan, and talking with the surgeons.

I started talking with translators in about October over whatsapp. Sometimes there were delays in response before I came to Korea, but after I arrived and post-surgery they were always very quick to respond to any of my messages. They preferred cash or credit for payment, but I payed wire over a couple days as my daily limit was too low on my cards.

The clinic is very clean and the staff are friendly. This is the expectation though.

They also offered a complimentary lip filler due to doing the other surgeries.

For the rhinoplasty they used rib cartilage. For the fat grafts they used inner thigh fat. I had no complications with scars, significant bruising, etc.

There is still some bump on the nose, they said it should go mostly down with swelling, but honestly I don't really mind because I'm happy with the results I will need to check back with them though.

Recovery, First Couple Days

Post-waking up I was extremely loopy and was not allowed to drink water for a couple hours. Since I did rhinoplasty, my nose was stuffed with the cotton, and so I was forced to mouth breathe which was very painful with the lack of liquids. This would be typical to any significant rhino. After the first day they removed the cotton, but it was still very difficult to breathe, so i had significant discomfort sleeping and in daily life. We did de-swelling laser on the second day, and I didn't return to the clinic until the seventh.

Day 7

On day seven, they removed some of the stitches on the nose and my nose cast, and my breathing got a lot better. I was able to study lightly. We did de-swelling laser and hyperbaric oxygen chamber this day.

Day 14

Day 14 they removed the rest of the stitches and I flew back home the following day. We did de-swelling laser again.

I got to talk to the surgeons every time I went back into the clinic for stitches or checkups.
