On Wednesday, August 19, 2026, AB Plastic Surgery will host the 2026 IFAAS International Lifting Symposium for international medical professionals.
IFAAS, the International Fellowship in Advanced Aesthetic Science, is a globally recognized international academic organization where plastic surgery professionals from around the world come together to share the latest trends and distinctive clinical expertise in aesthetic and plastic surgery.
AB Plastic Surgery has consistently participated in IFAAS since March 2024, continuing to demonstrate the advanced techniques of Korean plastic surgery and its distinctive expertise in lifting procedures on the international stage.
As part of this international academic exchange, Dr. Jung Young Woo of AB Plastic Surgery will serve as a lecturer at the symposium and present a lecture and live surgical demonstration on advanced Korean facelift techniques.
Dr. Jung Young Woo will address not only the skin, but also the deeper anatomical structures involved in sagging and aging. Rather than focusing on a lifting procedure that simply tightens the skin, the session will provide an in depth discussion of the medical principles and anatomical approach involved in dissecting the SMAS layer to address the underlying causes of sagging.
[Actual Patient from the 2024 IFAAS Lifting Session]
Procedures: Full SMAS Facelift + Neck Lift + Facial Fat Grafting + Subbrow Lift + Lower Blepharoplasty
Improvements: The procedures improved overall facial firmness, addressing age related sagging around the eyes, under eye fat, neck wrinkles, and loss of jawline definition.
Key Points: The SMAS layer was dissected and repositioned to address the underlying cause of sagging, while fat grafting was performed in areas with significant volume loss.
A subbrow lift and lower blepharoplasty were also performed to create a natural, more youthful appearance without an unnatural or overcorrected look.
Based on precise surgical techniques proven through extensive clinical experience, the session will also provide a detailed explanation of AB Plastic Surgery’s distinctive facelift techniques designed to minimize the risk of nerve and tissue injury and reduce the occurrence of pixie ear deformity.
AB Plastic Surgery will continue to promote the excellence of Korean plastic surgery through ongoing academic activities and international exchange while taking a leading role in advancing the field of facelift surgery worldwide.
Thank you for your interest and support.
